Stamping Dies for Metal Cutting & Forming.

Stamping dies are made from special types of hardenable steel called “tool steel”, which includes carbide and various other hard metals and materials. The hardened steels used for metal stamping dies need to be much tougher than the metals the are designed to cut and form, and it takes specialized skills to work with them.

L&R’s Stamping Division has the specialized machining equipment, expertise and experience to make and maintain high-quality metal cutting and forming dies that will hold up to the stresses of hundreds of thousands of stamping cycles, with minimal repair and maintenance. Whether your stamping job requires cutting, trimming, notching, blanking, piercing or perforating, lancing or shearing, the dies we use for critical stamped metal parts are tooled for high-volume precision production.
